Position Summary
This position will monitor daily calls and activity within the Lock Shop. This will include filing, answering the phone, emails, and entering data into multiple Lock Shop programs. Occasionally, this position may unlock doors and build cores.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Key Entry into data key systems
  • Entering Card Access into key system
  • Filing
  • Answering calls to Lock Shop and disbursing calls to Lock Smiths
  • Filing Key Forms
  • Occasionally unlocking doors on campus
  • Building key cores with a trained Lock Smith
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Any previous Lock Smith experience and administrative experience.
  • Able to read, write, and understand instructions
  • Be able to work alone at times or with a team

Required Education and/or Experience
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

Experience in keys/lock smithing
Experience in a Physical Plant environment
